Department of Geography, Faculty of Social Sciences Welcomes Delegation from ASRJC, Singapore

On Wednesday, 7 January 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University, warmly welcomed a delegation from Anderson Serangoon Junior College (ASRJC), Singapore, led by Mr. Eugene Kuan, together with accompanying teachers.
The delegation was welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Wanpen Charoentrakulpeeti, Acting Head of the Department of Geography, Assistant Professor Dr. Chanida Suwanprasit, Deputy Dean for Research and International Relations, and Assistant Professor Dr. Phaothai Sinampol, Deputy Dean for Academics and Internationalization.
The meeting focused on discussions of potential academic collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in relation to overseas student field trips and future academic activities. During the visit, the ASRJC teachers also observed a Geoinformatics laboratory class at the Department of Geography and visited the CMU Geological Museum at the Department of Geological Sciences, Faculty of Science.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen international academic cooperation and to exchange experiences in teaching and learning for future collaborative initiatives between Chiang Mai University and ASRJC.
